Want to know how bad the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record's accuracy is? Well, OIG doesn't think you can handle the truth. Over a year ago, we filed a lawsuit in DC District Court over OIG's refusal to respond to a FOIA request for those documents. Today we filed our response and cross-motion for summary judgment outlining why we should receive the documents. It is well worth the read. If you want to see what OIG produced, check out Exhibit A.
